‘I made an easy change to my diet and did one simple exercise and lost 104 lbs’

A nurse from Australia has opened up about how she shed 104lbs (47kg) by just making one simple change to her diet and implementing one exercise into her daily routine. 
Samantha Abreu, 25, from Melbourne, said walking 10,000 steps daily helped her to lose the weight quickly. 
She once weighed 250lbs (113kg) and wore a size 22/24 but wasn’t happy with this, and wanted to make some changes. 
Abreu began embracing daily walks during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
“As a child, I did not like movement,” she said. “I’d cry if we went on a walk.”

The nurse also explained that she struggled with binge eating throughout her life and would often order takeaways secretly on occasions. 
“I’d have urges to eat so much to the point of being uncomfortable,” she said.
But she said, after embracing daily walks, everything changed.
Abreu realized that exercise was a “blessing” for her mind and body. She also made a small shift in her diet without needing personal trainers or strict diets.

She said she hasn’t changed her diet much but just eats less now. “I now view food as fuel,” Abreu says.
Within a year, she lost 104lbs (47kg) and dropped from a size 22/24 to a size eight. 
Abreu shares how she lost weight naturally on TikTok, without needing personal trainers or strict diets.
“It’s lovely looking stronger,” she shares. “I hope other people can see themselves in me … and realize they can slowly start implementing change – that’s all I want.”
